Some thoughts on the turning wheel of the year
Posted in Musing
For the Autumn Equinox, and the turning foliage 2012:
Stillness within the dance Silence within the song
The balanced unbalance Between Entropy and Chaos
The Green and Burning Tree
Winter Solstice 2012
Blessings of the holly and the oak, the wren and the robin
the night and the day the dark and the light
the winter and the summer, The turning of the wheel,
the longest night, the shortest day.
Yet the winter kings hoary grasp has yet to close.
Blessings of the winter yet to fall
Floods of Winter 2013 -2014
rain constant falling
ancestral memories
our heritage
Winter Solstice 2013
The longest night, the shortest day; the Winter Solstice. The Winter kings grip at its strongest, the return of the light begins, though the heaviest of the winter yet to come. A time of family, of quiet, of stillness as we await the coming heart of winter rolling into the spring as the wheel turns. Blessings of the darkness, of the winds, the frosts, the rain and snow and of the mists; blessings of the stillness and the quiet; blessings of the returning light. May you have a quiet, restful Yule.
